Planning your engagement session

There is a lot to plan when planning a photoshoot at a national park. Especially when it comes to your engagement photos. Here are few things I have learned as a couples and wedding photographer that will help you plan your photoshoot at the Grand Teton National Park!!

Grand Teton National Park Engagements

Tip # 1

The very first thing when planning your engagement photoshoot at the Grand Teton National Park is not only to find a good photographer, but to find someone who knows their way around the park. There are thousands of little trails and spots you can go to take beautiful pictures. Whether you want the mountains in the background, a lake, or a field of flowers. I always recommend taking photos at Mormon Row, Taggart Lake, or around Jenny Lake.

Tip #2

The second thing you want to take into account is travel!! Do you live 2 hours away or just down the road? You will want to discuss travel with your photographer to make sure you are arriving on time and taking advantage of the sunlight while it lasts. If you are booking a session in the summer at 7 pm, make sure you get there at 7 pm because the sun sets very shortly after.

TIP #3

Finally, when planning your engagement session, you'll want to discuss with your photographer the type of vibe you are going for. Do you want more editorial photos at the Tetons, or do you want candid, more adventurous photos? This will not only fulfill your dreams but also help the photographer pose and direct you in a way that will give you your dream results.
